Plot: Selma, an immigrant from Czechoslovakia who loves musicals, works in a factory and lives with her son in a rented trailer. Selma has a severe illness that causes her to lose her sight. The same disease affects her son. Selma hides her illness and tries to work blindly to earn the money she needs to treat her son.
